Through our Single Advice Fund project, Disability Wales is working in partnership with Citizens Advice offices across Gwent and Cwm Taf Morgannwg to strengthen access to advice and support for disabled people.
We are working with frontline staff and volunteers to champion the Social Model of Disability, helping to strengthen understanding and support more inclusive approaches to service delivery. The project will also evaluate the impact of this work and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
A key focus of the project is to improve the accessibility, visibility and coordination of Citizens Advice information and materials, making it easier for disabled people to find and access the advice and support they need.
We are also working to strengthen referral pathways between Disability Wales and Citizens Advice, creating accessible, efficient and coordinated routes into advice and support. By developing stronger relationships and clearer referral processes, we aim to help ensure disabled people receive the right support at the right time.
