Calling all our members – Our survey to shape the Disability Wales Manifesto 2026–2031 is live!
As we look ahead to the 2026 Senedd elections, Disability Wales is creating a new Manifesto and we need your voice to help shape it.
This manifesto will be developed by and for Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) and disabled people in Wales. The manifesto will set out the key issues we want political parties to act on. It will guide our campaigning and advocacy work throughout the 2026–2031 Senedd term.
What is a manifesto?
A manifesto is a public statement of the changes we want to see. We want these asks to be based on the real lives, barriers and aspirations of disabled people. This is our chance to set the agenda and make sure disabled voices are front and centre in political decision-making in Wales.
How you can take part
We want to know your top 5 priorities. These are the things you believe are most important for disabled people and DPOs in Wales.
You can share your priorities in any format that works for you:
- By completing our survey
- Email natalie.jarvis@disabilitywales.org in:
- Written English or Welsh
- A BSL video
- A voice note
- AAC or your usual communication method
- Be creative:
- Drawings, collages or photos
- Videos (spoken, signed or visual)
- Mind maps or graphics
- Symbols, artwork or storytelling
Please help us spread the word.
The more voices we hear, the stronger and more representative our manifesto will be. Please share this invitation:
- With your networks, partners and groups
- In your newsletters or monthly updates
- At meetings, forums, or events
- On your social media channels
Have your say by the first week in September. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
