Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act Information Event – Bridgend

Sharing ideas and planning together

Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act Information Event

Bethlehem Church Life Centre, Cefn Cribwr, CF32 0AA

Wednesday 10th February 2016 from 10.30am – 3pm

“Decision makers do not always look to hear our voices but we voice them anyway. As a unit they listen more. BCDP have given us that unit and the platform for getting involved.”

Bridgend Coalition of Disabled People (BCDP), in partnership with Wales Council of the Blind and Disability Wales invite disabled people and representatives of disability organisations to join us for our free information day.

BCDP gives disabled people in Bridgend a platform to get together and voice their views and experiences with an aim to make Bridgend Borough a more accessible place to live and work. However, the challenges we face make that increasingly hard to achieve…unless we can work towards a shared vision of the future. Please join us to help us think about:

  • What is the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act and how will it affect me?
  • How does it differ from previous legislation and will it uphold and deliver on my rights?
  • How can we empower ourselves to inspire change in public services to increase independent living for disabled people?
  • How can disabled people work together with public services to achieve our goals?

This is a free event with lunch provided.

Please return completed booking form by Friday 29 January to Cathy Rogers at Bridgend Coalition
