Following a successful pilot year, the National Assembly for Wales’ Apprenticeship Scheme has been extended and this year will give six young people the opportunity to work at the heart of the democratic process within the National Assembly for Wales.
Each of the six posts is full time (37 hours per week) and will be based either in Tŷ Hywel, Cardiff Bay or Colwyn Bay (North Wales). Applicants for the North Wales post must be fluent in Welsh.
The posts are fixed term for 15 months and, as well as gaining valuable skills and experience within a highly respected organisation, the successful applicants will study for a recognised NVQ and receive a Living Wage of £14,334 per annum.
Applicants must be between 16-24 years of age and have achieved GCSE English and Mathematics (grade A-C) or equivalent. Due to the funding arrangements for the Apprenticeship Scheme, graduates or candidates who have obtained A Levels are not eligible to apply.
The closing date for applications is Friday 8th November 2013. Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre during week commencing 2nd December 2013 and interviews will be held during week commencing 9th December 2013.
Application forms and further details are attached. Please circulate this information to any young people who you think may be interested.
