As well as advice on their range of special services, BT’s Age and Disability Unit can advise you on a range of equipment that can help make your life easier. You can buy big button phones if you find it difficult to use standard phone number pads or extension bells if you have difficulty hearing the phone.

Television Licenses
Households with someone aged 75 years or over living in them are entitled to a free television licence. Households with a person who is blind or visually impaired are entitled to a 50% reduction of the television licence.
Winter Fuel Payment
You are entitled to winter fuel payment if you are aged 60 or over. This is an annual one-off payment. You should receive this payment automatically without making a claim if you are getting a state retirement pension or other Social Security benefit. Otherwise you can get a claim form and other information by phoning the winter fuel payment hotline. 08459 151515
