Discrimination
What happens if you are told you are not suitable for a particular job, but you think that you are, where do you go next'

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) The Disability Discrimination Act aims to end discrimination which many disabled people face. The act gives disabled people rights in the areas of:

  • Employment
  • Access to goods, facilities and services
  • Buying or renting land or property

The Disability Rights Commission:

  • Supports disabled people in securing their rights under the DDA
  • Helps achieving solutions, often without recourse to law
  • Supports legal cases to set new precedents and test limits of the law

They can also provide an independent conciliation service for disabled people.
