The 22nd November to 22nd December is UK Disability History Month. It’s a time to reflect on where our movement has come from, and where it’s going. This year’s theme is ‘Disability and Language’. Because words are powerful, we’ve made an infographic to summarise this important issue, and make the topic understandable for society at large.
Also, the organisation behind UK Disability History Month has made a host of resources available. Their website has a really interesting paper on the topic, and for teachers, a bundle of lesson resources. After all, education promotes equality.
