Disabled People’s Manifesto
Disabled People’s Manifesto for Wales
The Welsh National Assembly elections will be here before we know it! The elections will take place on Thursday, the 5th May 2016.
We need to act now, in order to make our voices heard and for firm commitments to be taken forward in political party manifesto’s in relation to disabled people.
We delivered regional Manifesto workshops, across Wales earlier in the year, where disabled people told us that lack of enforcement of rights together with the impact of UK Government welfare reforms and cuts in public services have led to a loss of independence, an increase in poverty and left many feeling isolated and fearful for the future.
After gathering the range of views from the workshops, and from the response that we received from our survey, we have developed a Disability Wales Disabled People’s Manifesto.
