Mandi Glover

I am / have been involved in a number of voluntary organisations including Scope Cymru, where I was chair of the Wales Committee for a number of years, and remain involved in local projects and as a school governor; Cardiff and Vale Coalition of Disabled People – where I was a founder member; The Rowan Organisation; and Arthritis Care in Wales, where I am a member of the Wales Committee and have recently been elected vice-Chair. I have previously been a volunteer advisor with the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, with a particular interest in welfare benefits, community care, and education/employment issues.

I have worked previously in both the health service and local government. I qualified and worked as a careers adviser until my impairment made this too difficult.

I am a user of direct payments, and am involved in a number of advisory groups around this and other independent living issues.
