Cross Party Group on Disability

A group of cross party AMs, together with the Wales Disability Reference Group, have re-established the Cross Party Group on Disability (CPGD).

The CPGD met for the first time on 20 March and is Co-Chaired by Rebecca Evans AM (Welsh Labour) and Mark Isherwood AM (Welsh Conservatives). The other sponsors are Kirsty Williams AM (Welsh Liberal Democrats) and Lindsay Whittle AM (Plaid Cymru).

Members agreed that an effective process should be developed to ensure wider engagement with disabled people and their organisations across the country. This will be discussed at the next meeting, together with a paper on operational guidelines for the group’s meetings.
